The Costcutter Ceredigion League Youth team taking part in the Wales Super Cup being played at Aberystwyth. The team is being managed and coached by Bill Moseley (New Quay) and Justin Evans (Cardigan).
In their first game on Monday morning they beat Aber Predators by 1-0. Having dominated most of the game victory was clinched by a looping header from Jack Lewis (Cardigan) midway through the first half.
The Ceredigion side continue their tournament throughout the week with games against Hereford, London-based team Cannons, Waterloo and Llandrindod Wells.

In the second game, the Ceredigion side took a surprise lead against Hereford when a Gareth Lewis cross was met by Jack Lewis header. However, Hereford's class soon became apparent and they eventually ran out as winners by eight goals to one.

After Monday nights's heavy defeat against Hereford the League side bounced back in impressive style with a good win over Llandrindod Wells. Jack Lewis (Cardigan) opened the scoring with his third goal of the tournament with substitute Leighton James (New Quay) netting the second to clinch victory.

The League side registered their third win from four starts with an impressive performance against Cannons. After weathering early pressure they took lead on the half hour when Jack Lewis (Cardigan) beat the oncoming keeper to an incisive through ball to net his fourth goal in as many games. Growing in confidence they deservedly added a second five minutes from time when Leighton James (New Quay) was on hand to strike home his second goal of the tournament.
A place in the final depends on the last group game against Waterloo Rovers on Thursday KO 6.00

Final
After losing to them in the group stages of the competition by eight goals to one, the Ceredigion side again faced a strong Hereford side in the final of the Super Cup on Friday 25th July. After gallantly holding Hereford to nil-nil at half time, they finally succumbed to two good second half goals to end up as runners-up of the Super Cup.
